About
I’m an artist and designer living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Interests
Painting, porcupine puffers, coffee, art galleries, big things that normally aren’t big, small things that aren’t normally small, unique landmarks, collections, wooden boxes, gardening, wine, scotch, visual communciation design, information aesthetics, and the letter ‘g’.
Education
I have a background in visual communication design and painting, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (Areas of Specialization: Visual Communication Design, Painting, Printmaking) and a diploma in New Media Design from the University of Alberta. I’m also a licenced HAM radio operator (VE6TJC).
Experience
I’ve been active in the digital media industry for the last nine years in roles spanning visual design, user interface design (website and game), usability, functional design and analysis, CSS/Drupal website design, print design, branding, and project management. My project experience has included software and website development as Gystworks and Bucketduck, as well as two and a half years as a Creative Lead for for the Terris-Hill Productions development of a 3D Service Rig Training program (serious game) called SimuLynx, and two years as a multimedia consultant for Alberta Learning’s LearnAlberta.ca project.
