This painting is signed “H. Belley” on the front. No title or date is recorded on the work. It was purchased at Goodwill at a discounted price.

The signature is consistent with works attributed to Henry Belley, also known as Henri-Paul Belley, an artist associated with the Yukon and Alaska regions. Belley is known for producing painted works—often floral or decorative in style—alongside carving and sculptural pieces made from antlers, bone, and local wood.
